Why e-learning

1. Self-paced learning: An e-learning program is essentially self-paced where a user can learn effectively and conveniently. This is not possible in a classroom coaching scenario where the participants have to keep pace with the coach. The e-learning program is a one-one coaching session wherein the user can refer back to any page of the content any time. Also, there is no specific time limit to complete going through a program. A user can go through the content at a convenient pace thereby maximizing comprehension and retention.

2. Cost effective medium: An e-learning program is one of the most cost effective medium of learning available. An entire bunch of e-learning programs can be made available to a user at a cost much lower than the cost of conducting a classroom coaching session. One doesn’t have to worry about the costs associated with hiring a faculty, travel, lodging & boarding, arranging a venue and printing handouts & reading material. An e-learning program also saves another highly valuable resource of a company – time. A class room session can eat into productive executive time while an e-learning program can be paced conveniently to minimize interference with work.

3. Convenience: An e-learning program provides a highly convenient means of learning. Unlike a fixed and time-bound classroom coaching session, a user can study at convenience and refer to the material any number of times. E-learning, therefore, eliminates the constraint of time for a user. When he is hard pressed for time, he can take it easy; similarly when he has free time he can step it up – all at a click of a mouse.
